Grumman Goose seaplane in frozen water Alaska

Few years ago on a winter flight from Anchorage to Dutch Harbour a Grumman Goose seaplane had a double engine failured. The seaplane landed on an ice covered lake and a crew was assembled to free the amphibian seaplane from it’s frozen captivity. Port Alsworth, Alaska residents helped rescue the Grumman Goose seaplane from the ice prison. Details of the two-day fighting on this video.
